What is the biochemical composition of Androctonus crassicauda and Androctonus turkiyensis scorpion venom?

Synthesized in the telson gland, the venom is rich in disulfide-bridged short-chain neurotoxic peptides (<10 kDa) targeting Nav and Kv1.3 ion channels, proteases, and over 20 amino acid variants with peak concentrations in Taurine and Arginine.

Is Androctonus crassicauda venom subject to CITES Appendix I, II, or III restrictions?

No. Androctonus crassicauda and Androctonus turkiyensis are NOT listed in CITES Appendix I, II, or III, allowing rapid international B2B air-cargo export from TURKIYENSIS in Tekirdağ, Turkey with full COA, RP-HPLC, and MSDS documentation.

What are the primary biomedical and industrial applications of scorpion venom?

Applications include national pharmacopoeia antivenom production (continuous in Turkey since 1942), selective apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 breast cancer and glioma oncology research, Gold Nanoparticle (AuNP) biosensor conjugation, antimicrobial peptide R&D against E. coli and S. aureus, and voltage-gated ion channel pharmacology.
